“Chicken scratch” may mean “next to nothing” in common parlance, but 50lb sacks of organic scratch feed don’t come cheap. All of the 500+ animals at the sanctuary need lots of healthy food every day. Many need medications, and all need fresh bedding every night.

• $25 buys 50lbs of locally sourced organic scratch feed for chickens, ducks, geese, and turkeys.
• $50 buys one 500lb bale of hay for cows and sheep
• $150 buys tens bales of straw for bedding
• $500 treats all of the birds at the sanctuary to grains, seeds, and specialty pelleted feed for a whole week.
