VINE Sanctuary is excited to announce that we are now accepting registrations for our new, FREE, virtual humane education program for Middle School classrooms and homeschooling groups. NATURE (Nurturing Awareness Through Understanding, Respect, and Empathy) matches classes with animals at the sanctuary. Each month of the school year, classes receive updates about their friend at the sanctuary along with a humane education lesson on a topic of interest to middle school students, such as communication, belonging, or ecology. Teachers receive supplemental materials to use in between lessons.

Teachers, librarians, homeschool group leaders, and other educators can learn more and sign up (or ask questions before signing up) here.

NATURE joins our popular Barnyard Buddies program for Pre-K through 5th grade classrooms in promoting vital values while offering truly useful educational materials. Teachers report high levels of engagement with that program, which inspires children to achieve common core standards by learning, thinking, and writing about their buddies and their community.

Let’s learn about animals together while boosting our own brains! For this special choose-your-own-book meeting of the VINE Book Club, you can read as much or as little of any book about animals. It could be a book about a certain kind of animal or group of animals, or it could be a book about animals in general. Then join us on August 30 at 3 PM EDT to share what you learned and hear what others have learned.
